Certificate (PDF)A suction diffuser combines an elbow and built-in strainer with flow straightening at the pump suction inlet. It simplifies installation, reduces space and fitting requirements, and eliminates the need for an equivalent length of ten pipe diameters of straight run on the pump suction side.
